The Thoughts of God

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

 For I know THE PLANS I have for you," declares the LORD, "PLANS to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Comparing these two translations of the Holy Bible, we can readily see that the thoughts of God  are the plans of God . The 'thoughts of God' was replaced with the expression 'plans of God' in the New International Version. 

The Amplified translation further corroborate the fact  that the thoughts of God are the plans of God.

Jeremiah 29:11 (Amplified)

For I know THE THOUGHTS AND PLANS that I have for you, says the Lord, THOUGHTS AND PLANS for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

So, the thoughts of God are the plans of God. Knowing the thoughts of God is knowing the plans of God.

 We can understand God's plans for our lives by understanding the thoughts of God for our lives

God reveals His plans for us by His thoughts. The thoughts of God convey the plans of God to us.

Knowing the will  of God or the plans of God for our lives is all about knowing the thoughts of God for our lives.
