"Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert."
Philip in obedience to this divine instruction that he received through an angel arose and went to Gaza.
At Gaza, he saw an Ethiopian Eunuch who was on transit returning to Ethiopia from Jerusalem in his chariot. Then the Spirit of the LORD spoke to Phillip.
Acts 8:29
Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
Philip received a new direction from the Holy Spirit because he obeyed the previous instruction that was given to him.
Obedience to previous directions gives birth to new directions because God leads us in steps.
As we faithfully obey Him one step at a time, more directions will be revealed to us.
