"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
Fearful thoughts are opposed to the leading of the Spirit of God.
God does not use fear to lead us. He leads us by His Spirit. And the Spirit of God is not the spirit of fear.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
God has not given us the spirit of fear. And we have not received the spirit of fear.
Romans 8:15 (KJV)
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
God has not given us the spirit of fear. And we have not received the spirit of fear. Therefore, we do not have the spirit of fear.
Fear is not from God. It is from the devil. So if you are led by fear you are being led by the devil.
Fearful thoughts do not come from God. They come from the devil. They are opposed to the leading of the Spirit of God.
Hence entertaining fearful thoughts is ignoring the leading of the Spirit of God. While ignoring fearful thoughts is following the leading of the Spirit of God.
