"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
Where can I find the light of God ? In my heart.
"...God has shined in our hearts ..."
In essence, the light that shines in my heart comes from God. My heart cannot generate it's own light by itself. The source of every light in my heart is God.
God shines His light in our hearts (spirits).So if you ever find light in your spirit you know where it is coming from - from God Almighty.
Remember that light gives illumination and direction. Hence , if you ever find direction in your heart you know that it is coming from God Almighty.
This is another reason why your spirit cannot mislead you. Your spirit is a safe guide because God leads us through our spirits.
Everything about our spirit is from God. Hence, you can trust your spirit to lead you always in the ways of the Holy Spirit. Your spirit is a safe guide.
