"THE LORD is my Shepherd [to FEED, GUIDE, and SHIELD me], I shall not lack."
Living with the consciousness that the LORD is your Shepherd will help you greatly in your daily walk with God.
The Scripture did not say that the LORD was my Shepherd or the LORD will be my Shepherd. It says the LORD is my Shepherd (presently)
In essence, I should expect daily benefits of His ministry as my Shepherd.
From our text we can see three major benefits that everyone of us will enjoy by living in the consciosness that the LORD is our Shepherd :
1.Revelations (feeds us with His Word.)
2. Direction (He guides us by His Spirit.
3. Protection (He shields and protect us from every evil.
Our Shepherd feeds, guides and shields us. So daily we can expect divine revelation, divine direction and divine protection.
