"" For My thoughts [are] not your thoughts, Nor [are] your ways My ways," says the LORD."
The leading of the Spirit of God especially the inward witness often appears to us as Spirit inspired thoughts.
If we learn how to recognise the thoughts of God(Spirit inspired thoughts), then we will be more successful in discerning the inward witness.
The thoughts of God are consistent with the written Word of God always. They never contradict the Word of God.
You see, God cannot contradict Himself. So the thoughts inspired by the Holy Spirit in our hearts will always agree with the written Word of God which was given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Learn to judge every thought that comes to you by the written Word of God. If it disagrees with the written Word of God, reject it completely.
Knowing the will of God or the plans of God for our lives is all about knowing the thoughts of God for our lives.
