"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men"
When Jesus made this promise to His disciples, He was the only fisher of men on earth.
Therefore, what Jesus was saying in essence is "follow Me and I will make you become like Myself ".
This is the greatest incentive that Jesus offers to anyone that follows Him : which is making them to become like Himself.
Thus, as we follow the leading of the Spirit of Christ diligently, He makes us become more like Him.
Becoming more like God or like Christ is one of the major reasons God leads us by His Spirit.
God is love. Jesus is love. The Holy Spirit is love. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of love. Hence following the leading of the Spirit of God makes us become more like God by walking in love more than ever before.
Waking in love is walking in divine guidance. Spirit led life and love walk are one and the same.
There is no leading of the Spirit of God outside of love walk. Every leading of the Spirit of God is consistent with the God kind of love.
