"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
When we receive Jesus as our LORD and Saviour, the Holy Spirit Who is the Spirit of Christ came into our hearts and shed the love of God in our hearts.
So, as believers in Christ Jesus, our hearts are full of the love of God. Therefore, following our heart is following the love of God.
When we follow the ways of love, we are following the ways of our hearts, the ways of our spirits and the ways of the Spirit of God.
In addition to this, we are born of God Who is love. Therefore, we are love by nature. The real you, your recreated human spirit is love by nature.
Thus walking in love is giving expression to your real self - your spirit man.
Self expression brings great fulfilment. This is why walking in love brings great fulfilment to us.
Learn to follow the ways of love always in all your ways. This is how to follow the leading of the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. (NIV)
There is no leading of the Spirit of God outside of love walk. Every leading of the Spirit of God is consistent with the God kind of love.
