"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU into all truth; for He will not speak on His own [authority,] but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare [it] to you."
When I read this passage of scripture the first question that rings in my heart is : "Has the Spirit of truth come ?"
YES ! So, He guides us in all truth.
We can read our text paraphrased. "Now that the Spirit of truth has come He guides us..."
Personalising this, we have a beautiful confession to make regularly as seen below.
"Now that the Holy Spirit has come He guides me into all truth"
I enjoy divine guidance always because the Holy Spirit has come and He lives inside of me.
We have a similar scripture in the first letter to the Church at Corinth.
1 Corinthians 2:12
_Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God._
We know the things of God, the mind of God and the will of God because we have received the Spirit of God.
Again, personalising this we can say :
"Now I have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit of God. Therefore, I know the things of God, the mind of God and the will of God"
The coming of the precious Holy Spirit and His indwelling us, is our guarantee for enjoying divine guidance.
Every believer in Christ Jesus ought to enjoy so much of divine guidance because it is one of the unique characteristics of the Church age.
