"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and BRING TO YOUR REMEMBRANCE ALL THINGS that I said to you."
We need to learn the ways of the Spirit of God to successfully follow His leading.
The more we understand the ways of the Holy Spirit, the better our abilities to discern the leading of the Spirit of God.
For instance, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things. The teachings of the Spirit and the leading of the Spirit are one and the same.
When the Holy Spirit begins to teach you, He is leading you. Whatever the Holy Spirit is teaching you to do, is what He is leading you to do.
But how does the Holy Spirit teach us all things? By comparing the Word of God (which) is spiritual with the Word of God.
1 Corinthians 2:13
These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
The Holy Spirit teaches us by comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Jesus said that His words are spirits and life (John 6 : 63).
Therefore the Word of God is spiritual.
So the Holy Spirit teaches us by comparing the Word of God with the Word of God.
