"He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes."
"... he who loves his brother abides in the light..."
Light gives illumination and direction. Therefore we can rephrase this portion of scripture as follows: He who loves his brother abides in direction.
Hence we can readily see that walkiing in love is walking in divine guidance or walkiing in divine direction.
On the other hand living in bitterness, malice and hatred towards others is walking in darkness and confusion.
Where there is strife, envying and malice there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:16
For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work.
If you entertain malice, strife or bitterness, you will be very confused in trying to discern the leading of the Spirit.
Many believers are confused when it comes to discerning the voice of God because they have strife and bitterness towards others.
You cannot live in strife and enjoy divine direction. I have seen some believers seeking to receive a Word from the LORD and are living in strife.
To be very honest with you, if you are in strife, malice or bitterness you already know the Word of the LORD for you - the Word is forgive your offender, forget it and walk in love towards them.
Walkiing in love is walking in divine guidance. Do bot seek specific guidance from the LORD if you are not walking in love.
There is no leading of the Spirit of God outside of love walk. Every leading of the Spirit of God is consistent with the God kind of love.
We will be making accurate decisions always if our decisions are based on love - the God kind of love.
Learn to judge every decision of yours, every action, every motive and everything that you do with the God's kind of love. If you practice this , your accuracy in life will improve greatly.
