Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. I believe this is one of the greatest pieces of advice that has ever been given to any human being. Do all to the glory of God.
Doing everything to the glory of God is living a Spirit-led life because every leading of the Spirit of God glorifies God.
Jesus taught us that the Holy Spirit will glorify Him by leading us and revealing the things of God to us.
John 16:13-14 says: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. HE WILL GLORIFY ME, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you."
The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus by revealing to us the things of God.
From this verse, we can see a very close relationship between glorifying God and the Spirit led life.
Every leading of the Spirit glorifies God. And glorifying God enhances our ability to receive divine direction.
Therefore, the more we glorify God, the more we are led by the Spirit of God. Likewise, the more we are led by the Spirit of God, the more we glorify God.
When you seek His glory in all you do, you will never lack His guidance.
As we begin a new year, make a quality decision to do all things to the glory of God, and your progress in life will be notable.
